Why a Mosque in Peterhead?

For Muslims in Peterhead, the nearest mosque is over 30 miles away in Aberdeen — a daily challenge that disrupts regular worship and community engagement. A local mosque would be a spiritual home and a hub for unity, learning, and support for families and future generations.

Our Goal

Create a Space for Worship: A welcoming masjid for daily prayers, Jumu'ah, and special occasions to strengthen personal faith and community cohesion.
Bridge Communities: A shared space that supports interfaith dialogue and understanding across Peterhead’s diverse communities.
Foster Support: Educational workshops, youth programmes, and family assistance to uplift everyone who calls Peterhead home.

Together, we can build a local gathering place that brings people together and serves as a cornerstone for generations.
